Unfortunately, MGI PhotoSuite is no longer available for download as the program has been discontinued. You may be able to find it through third-party websites, but it is not recommended to download software from unofficial sources.
I've found a help file for this application and it appears that PNG isn't a supported file format. The software supports BMP, RLE, GIF, JPG, FPX, PCD, TGA, etc., but nothing related to PNG file format.
Does PhotoSuite 4 work with the new Windows 10? I'm hanging on to Windows 7 just to use PhotoSuite. Thanks for any advice.

No, the software will not work on Windows 10 because it was released a very long time ago and it isn't being constantly updated anymore, therefore it lacks compatibility with Windows 10. I've also checked and it appears that many people use it, but there are other replacements available.
This application has problems running in Windows XP. Windows 7 is out of the questions because it will not work at all. The application was designed for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. I think you need to look for an alternative like Picasa. Picasa is a modern application developed by Google which has the same functionality of MGI.
I am looking for an update for this program because I cannot install it on my new PC with Windows 7 64-bit. I have a different program for a different camera that does not recognize Sony Cybershot. Can anybody tell me where to find an update? The ones I found were all deleted by my antivirus software.

Unfortunately, there is no update for MGI PhotoSuite since this is a very old application. You might be able to run it on Windows 7 while emulating Windows XP on a virtual machine, but that's it. You can use Virtualbox to install Windows XP, the OS compatible with MGI PhotoSuite.

If the application doesn't appear in the application's list, you can delete its folder from the installation directory (usually Program Files) or use Revo Uninstaller because even if it can't uninstall the application normally, it will force it to uninstall by wiping out all traces of its presence from the system.
I had a computer crash and I installed MGI Photosuite from a DVD. But now I get an error message that states that I can't create an empty document. Because of this I can't make use of the program. Can you please help me?

This error can be caused by the fact that you try to create a new document on a location where you don't have writing rights. This usually happens when you try to create / save a file / document on the C:\ drive. To fix this, there are two available options. You can try to create the folder in any other drive like D:\ or E:\ (depending on your hardware configuration). The other solution is to start the program using administrator rights. To do this, right click on the program's icon and choose Run as administrator. You should be able to create a new folder and use the application after you did this.
This program was designed to work on Windows 95. Due to this, there is no way you can run it on a computer with Windows 8 installed. I suggest you visit the Software Informer's website in order to find a software with similar functions.
